A church at the heart of our community
St George's is a lively, friendly church in Tolworth, South-West London. We describe ourselves as a church at the heart of our community, sharing Jesus and growing in discipleship.
Our Sunday Services are in Church, and also run on Zoom for those at home, for details please use the email link below. If you don’t have Zoom at home, you can dial in using 020 3695 0088.

We eagerly look forward to this special time of year, and rightly so, because of what it brings. The shared delight of giving and receiving and being with those we love and care about. But where do you find joy at Christmas? For some, it may be food and presents. Perhaps in the Christmas tree, the trips, and treats.
These things are good, and we should be excited about them. But the greatest joy at Christmas is in the birth of Jesus, which we celebrate. The angels who announced the birth of the baby Jesus to the shepherds described it as 'good news of great joy for all people'. It is the joy of God coming to us in his Son, Jesus Christ. It is joy worth celebrating. It is joy that money cannot buy. It is joy that is freely given. It is a joy that reminds us of God's love and invites us to know, celebrate, and respond in worship of the Christ child who came to be our Saviour and will one day return to reign as the righteous King of the World.
So, let us celebrate all the good things we give and receive during this season, which gladdens our hearts, but let us also reflect on the gift of joy that we have been offered. The joy freely given by God, who never hides or closes the door to us. And as someone said, "At the heart of Christmas is the good news that God comes into the world, opening doors and giving us confidence to walk with him into the future he makes possible." At St George's, we will be celebrating this season of joy in worship of Christ, singing carols, and reflecting on the coming of the Christ child and what it means for our lives today.
So, join us at any of our services and seasonal events:
Saturday 13 December 2pm (Carols on Tolworth Broadway near Costa Coffee),
Saturday 20 December 4pm (Community Carols followed by mulled wine and mince pies at St George's Church),
Wednesday 24 December 4pm (Christingle family-focused service) and
Thursday 25 December 10am (Christmas Day Service).
We look forward to welcoming you to St George’s Church..
We meet every Sunday Morning for worship at 10:00am, with a variety of services styles available. Whatever the style of service, there is always a time for teaching, prayer, prayer ministry, and worship. Please look below to find out more about the different services we hold.
St George’s has a lively and friendly congregation which we would love to grow and be able to do more for our local community. So if you have a heart for the community, curiosity about Christ or just fancy some company, we would love to welcome you. If you are interested in joining any of our activities or learning more about Jesus and Christianity, send us an Email or join us for our Sunday Service. With God’s help, St George’s continues to work as a centre of Christian worship, witness and ministry.
Our All Age service runs on the 1st Sunday of every month, with singing, Bible Stories, and interactive talks. While this service is particularly aimed at families, and children, it is of course open to "All Ages".
On the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month is our Holy Communion service with a more traditional approach to its layout. These services include Hymns, and Liturgy in addition to a teaching, and prayers. Children’s ministry (Shine Sunday School) is also provided in the Hall of the church during the service including craft projects and teaching.
The Eucharist (or Holy Communion) is a service commemorating The Last Supper, in which bread and wine are blessed and consumed as a symbolism of the Body and Blood of Jesus. As a church, this is something we strongly believe in and follow. For more information see our "What We Believe" Page here
On the 3rd and 5th Sundays of each month, we have our Informal Morning Worship. These services take a more relaxed, modern approach to worship, with blocks of songs, prayers and a sermon. Our Shine Sunday School also runs during the service for the children.
Whatever the style of service there is always a time for teaching to suit that type of worship and our prayer is that our service will be filled to the brim with the Holy Spirit. Prayer is central to the life of our Church which supports and sustains all that we do.
Please have a look around our website to find out more about who we are and what we do. If you are interested in joining in any of our activities or learning more about Jesus and Christianity then send us an email or join us for one of our Sunday services.
