Prayer Meetings
God loves to answer our prayers, whether for big things like the World situation or for smaller things that are important to us as individuals, for health and strength, difficult situations, for our friends and family.
We pray together:
- Every Thursday evening, 8:00pm until 9:00pm at the Church
- Every Saturday morning, 8:00am until 9:00am at the Church
Among the things we pray for are:
- That as individuals and as a church, we will encounter God and that He will enable us to know Him better and empower us to do His will.
- That God will bring people to know Jesus as their Saviour.
- The work and mission of St George's.
- The needs of those in the church and the community
- World situations

We want to be alongside you in the tough times of life - whether it is you who are struggling or those you love or you are concerned about situations in the wider world. We believe that prayer always changes something and that our God is a God who loves each one of us and is always waiting to hear from us.

When people come together to pray amazing things happen
Thy Kingdom Come
St George’s with its team churches, St Matthew’s Surbiton and St Paul’s Hook join the global wave of prayer called Thy Kingdom Come each year. This is a global ecumenical prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus.
Christians from over 80 different church denominations and traditions in 172 countries, over 90% of the countries around the world take part - so that friends and family, neighbours and colleagues might come to faith in Jesus Christ.
We pray that God’s Spirit might work in the lives of 5 people who have not responded with their ‘Yes’ to God’s call.
