A church at the heart of our community
Silver Threads is a friendly, social group for those aged 60 years and over from around the parish and local neighbourhood. The group meets monthly, every second Tuesday (except August) at 11am to 12:30pm in the lounge at St George’s Church. We enjoy each other’s company and catch up with our news over tea/coffee & cake! We often have a light hearted quiz, a discussion or a speaker.
During 2022 we discussed how we came to live in Tolworth, shared our memories of St George’s in the past with some old photos, enjoyed a talk from Kingston Street Pastors and the Children’s Society, had several quizzes and a delicious Christmas dinner. In June we shared a glass of bubbly and lunch to celebrated Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee and in September read a poem and prayer for Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III.
New members are always welcome so do contact St George’s if you are interested to join us.
