Weddings

We love to conduct and celebrate marriages at St George's.  It is our privilege to be involved in helping couples prepare for this lifelong commitment.

To learn more about getting married in St George's, please come along to a Sunday service, and speak to our Vicar or contact the Church office for more information.  You will be given a booking form and help in whatever way we can to help you plan for your marriage service.  There are some fees for getting married in the church and if you want an organist.  Full details will be supplied on our booking form.

Banns of Marriage

If you plan to marry in another Church but live in our Parish you will be advised to contact us to have your Wedding Banns read.  We read your Banns on 3 consecutive weeks, and like to see you at our 10am Sunday service for at least one of these.  The 2024 statutory costs for reading the Banns are £34, plus another £17 for the certificate.
